About Us

What was once Kelsey+Co. (originally founded in 2003) is now, as of January 2013, Proximity Learning.

Our mission is simple:  To inspire and promote learning -- for individuals and organizations.

Why?  We believe the heart of success and fulfillment lies in the ability to be ready and adaptive to change!  What makes that possible?  Learning! For individuals and organizations to be able to learn and apply their unique capabilities.

We work with organizations of all sizes and in all verticals.  Every project is viewed as an opportunity to create a solution that fits just right, as well as a chance to inform clients about how best to leverage training resources using learning technologies and to develop agile learning cultures. We apply a consultative approach to every engagement.

For each client we focus on defining their primary objectives, their unique business challenges, and the audience(s) they serve so as to develop a single or set of services that best meets these needs.

We pay particular attention to each client's short- and long-term business goals to ensure that the services we provide can and will evolve seamlessly over time in response to new market demands and advances in technologies.

The company was founded by Margaret Kelsey, Ed.M., who now serves as Chief Learning Architect.  She brings 20 years of combined experience in curriculum development, software design and usability, technical writing, web-based marketing, and project/team management.   Please view her LinkedIn Profile for more information.

Instructor Led Tip

Designing instructor led training starts with conducting a series of analyses to determine your audience's needs and developing appropriate learning objectives. The titan guru Rober Mager does it best with his book series and this article.

Printed Doc Tip

There is nothing worse than a confusing array of screen shots in a technical manual with poor call-outs. We enjoy using Snag-It because it has so many easy to use annotation features. Read more about it here.
